Spring 2021 – Black Artists and Musicians – “I, Too, Sing America”

To highlight and celebrate the creative effort of Black artists and musicians, the library has a spring display of the lives and works. Included are the biographies of Jacob Lawrence, Charles White, Nat King Cole, Augusta Savage, Kara Walker, and others. Also featured are histories of the creative works developed during the Harlem Renaissance, the period of great Jazz musicians, and rap, and hip hop. (RLS)
